Phone Settings - Why are they important?
To get the most out of your CO-DRIVER, we recommend checking a few important settings on your phone.
Making sure these are set correctly means your CO-DRIVER connects automatically when you start driving and you can receive reliable, real-time traffic and speed camera warnings.
Want to make sure you’re running the latest app version? Check this article: How do I update the OOONO App?
Before you continue, make sure to chose between Android and iOS with the buttons below!
App Settings - Android
Go to Settings and scroll down until you see the Apps. Locate the OOONO app in the list of apps and select it.
In App info, you need to ensure the settings are set as follows:
-
Notifications - Allowed
-
Permissions - Location*, Use precise Location, Nearby Devices and Notifications
(Select "Permissions" to grant or remove permissions) - Remove permissions if app is unused - Disabled
- Under Usage, click on Battery and select Unrestricted
*Why location access needs to be “Always”
To make sure your CO-DRIVER can warn you at the right time — even when the app is running in the background — location access must be set to Always allow.
This allows the OOONO app to detect when you start driving and send relevant alerts without you needing to open the app manually.
Your location is only used when you’re actually connected to the CO-DRIVER and on the move. When you’re not driving, the app stays inactive and doesn’t track your location.
Battery Settings - Android
Go to Settings and scroll down until you see Battery and select it.
In the Battery settings, you need to ensure the settings are set as follows:
- Power saving- Disabled/Not Optimized
- Pause app activity if unused - Disabled

In this menu you need to ensure the following settings are set accordingly:
- Bluetooth - Enabled
- Location - Enabled
- Mobile Data - Enabled
App Settings - iOS
For iOS 18 or higher, scroll down to Apps and then select the OOONO app.
If you use iOS 17 or lower, go to Settings and scroll down until you see the OOONO app and select it.
