We understand how important it is for you to know when and how your location is shared. The SIRÈNE app is designed to prioritize both your safety and your privacy.
Does the app constantly access my location?
No.
The SIRÈNE app only accesses your location when you trigger an alert.
However, it’s important that location permissions are always enabled on your phone. This ensures the app can instantly access your location in case of an emergency - without delays or the need to request additional permissions when time matters most.
Will my live location be shared? And for how long?
Yes - but only while the alert is active. Your live location is shared with your selected contacts as soon as you trigger an alert. The location sharing stops automatically when:
- You slide the Stop Alert button in the app
- You confirm that you are safe
How accurate is the location shared with my contacts?
The accuracy of your location depends on your phone’s GPS and signal quality. We do our best to provide your real-time phone location, but please note that:
- Location data may vary depending on buildings, surroundings, or network conditions
- We cannot guarantee it will always be 100% precise
How do I stop sharing my location?
To stop sharing your location:
- Open the app
- Slide the Stop Alert button on the screen
- Confirm that you are safe
