How do I trigger an alert?
When your SIRÈNE is connected to the app, you can send an alert to your selected contacts if you feel unsafe or threatened.
As soon as you activate an alert, your selected contacts will be notified immediately. They will see your exact location and the fastest route to reach you.
To trigger the alert:
- Press the button (metal ball) on your SIRÈNE for about 2 seconds. It requires a firm press with a bit of strength — this prevents accidental activation.
- You’ll feel a vibration confirming that the alert has been sent.
-
The SIRÈNE itself does not emit any sound. Find more information here: Is SIRÈNE an actual siren?
How are my contacts informed?
When you trigger an alert, all your registered contacts will immediately receive a notification on their phone — regardless of their location or time of day.
This critical notification will break through silent mode and focus mode, ensuring it reaches them in any situation.
All contacts listed in your app will be notified every time an alert is triggered.
Can I cancel an alert?
Yes. If you triggered an alert by mistake or if you are safe again, you can easily cancel it.
- Open the app and slide the cancellation button at the bottom of the screen.
- Confirm your choice by selecting that you are safe or that it was only a test.
- This ensures your contacts are informed that no further action is needed.
Can I trigger a test alert?
Yes — but only under controlled conditions.
You can try out the alert sound within the SIRÈNE app by navigating to My SIRÈNE and tapping the three dots menu. From there, you can play the test sound.
The test sound will only play on your phone, the SIRÈNE will not activate.
Receiving a real alert can be alarming for your contacts. Please use only the app’s test function for trials. If you want to simulate a real alert, make sure to coordinate it with your contacts beforehand.
Can I trigger an alert if I am signed out of my account?
No.
You must be logged into your account in the SIRÈNE app to trigger alerts.
If you are signed out:
- Your SIRÈNE will blink red every 3 seconds to indicate it is disconnected.
- As long as it blinks green, the device is connected and ready to use.
