About the battery
- The P-DISC NO3 uses solar energy. If the sun is not shining, it draws power from the inserted batteries. The P-DISC NO3 comes with 2x replaceable CR3032 batteries.
-
For safety reasons, it is not possible to operate the device without battery power. When the batteries are depleted and in the absence of sunlight, the P-DISC NO3 would turn off and no longer display a parking time. Therefore, you can only use the device with charged batteries.
Battery life
- The average battery lifetime is up to 5 years. However, battery life naturally depends on how often the device is used.
-
In general, battery performance varies with temperature. Consequently, in case of low external temperatures, the battery performance may vary. This may result in issues with battery level read-out and shorter battery life. However, once the car warms up, the product returns to full functionality.
Low battery
- When the batteries are about to run out, the P-DISC NO3 will notify you. Approximately one month before the end of the battery life, the device starts flashing red at the beginning and end of the parking time and emits a warning sound.
-
Additionally, a symbol for low battery appears on the display of the device.
